Oh friends, words cannot express what a JOY this wedding was. We pick up Part II right after Christy & Josh’s oceanside ceremony at the Excellence Resort in Playa Mujeres, Mexico.
Because of the heat and humidity, these two chose to do the majority of their pictures after the ceremony: family, bride & groom, bridesmaids, and groomsmen. I’m so, so grateful to these two for allowing plenty of time in the schedule to photograph all that well AND leave time for me to catch reception details and cocktail hour. I just adore how everything turned out. Their reception, despite a brief rain shower we had to wait out inside (Christy’s sister is a saint for deliver her speech amidst hurricane conditions, right before we all bailed), includes some of my all-time favorite reception images!
These two danced the night away under the Caribbean stars and palm trees rustling in the sea breeze. And OH was there ever dancing!! I believe that was the first thing Josh said when I asked him what he was looking forward to most. This guy loves a good playlist. ;-)
Christy & Josh, again, a tremendous joy to get to know your hearts a bit and witness your first day of the next 50 years. Keep loving just like the first picture below. :-)
