Garden of the Gods Engagement: Sarah & Mikey

These are my new friends Sarah & Michael — but they insist I call him Mikey, and I kind of love it.

They are getting hitched this weekend at the gorgeous Spruce Mountain Ranch and planning the most gorgeous Tuscan-themed wedding.  I’m talking chianti wine, lots of family, rosemary floral arrangements, a bellini bar, Italian food of course, and terra cotta tile decor.  And I can hardly wait.

Mikey is an Air Force pilot trainer in Mississippi, so we met up this week when we were all three in the same place.  :-)  First we caught up over craft beers, and then headed to the location of their first date: a picnic dinner at Garden of the Gods.  We brought along a blanket and chianti to get us in the picnic mood and reminisce, and danced around in fields against the stunning rocky backdrop.

Sarah & Mikey, I’m so glad we don’t have to wait too long to photograph you again!  This weekend is going to be epic and I feel so blessed to get to work with such a sweet, kind, and happy couple!  You two are a JOY!

With love & joy,
René
