Good afternoon! I hope you’re having a wonderful Independence Day Week!
I have a little date with the lake here in a bit, but I wanted to hop on real quick and show you this little gem of a wedding. Something you’ve never seen on the blog before. Fielda and Daxten were are our first Muslim wedding. What a BEATIFUL day it was, so soaked with tradition! Many of Fielda’s family came from Indonesia and Daxten’s from Switzerland. It was very much a beautiful blend of cultures and I was honored to be there!
More on this uh-mazing couple on part II when we get to the second part of their celebration: the traditional, American wedding reception.
Happy Independence Day!
With joy,
René

One thing I love about my job as the events manager, is that I see so many different cultures come through, and it is so neat to see. You have captured this beautifully!
René, I am so glad I was able to meet and talk with you at the Walsworth workshop! How fortunate I was to be able to learn and shoot with someone like you — thank you so much! Just wanted to drop a ‘hi’ and say that your work is gorgeous as ever — keep in touch, and thanks so much for your knowledge!
