Islamic Center: Fielda + Daxten – Part I

Good afternoon!  I hope you’re having a wonderful Independence Day Week!

I have a little date with the lake here in a bit, but I wanted to hop on real quick and show you this little gem of a wedding.  Something you’ve never seen on the blog before.  Fielda and Daxten were are our first Muslim wedding.  What a BEATIFUL day it was, so soaked with tradition!  Many of Fielda’s family came from Indonesia and Daxten’s from Switzerland.  It was very much a beautiful blend of cultures and I was honored to be there!

More on this uh-mazing couple on part II when we get to the second part of their celebration: the traditional, American wedding reception.

Happy Independence Day!

With joy,
René

I specialize in documenting relationships over time—from weddings and anniversaries to babies and families—with a love for black-and-white imagery, honest moments, and photographs that belong in albums, not just on a feed. There are no forced poses or “pretend to” prompts here, only space for what’s real. I’m not just here for the highlight; I’m here for the history you’re creating.

And I can't wait to capture your story
