Evergreen Wedding: Lacey & Stew

She stood surrounded by pine trees, just out of sight from him.  About to make their way down aisle, her sisters turned and quickly kissed her on the cheeks.

As the crowd softened and quieted, the voice of Eastmountainsouth came through the air…

As the music at the banquet
As the wine before the meal
As the firelight in the night
So are you to me

The crowd stood to their feet.  With no one else by her side, she took a deep breath, inhaling the crisp Colorado air and boldly took her first step.  With the sun at her back, serended by soft piano notes and violin melodies she walked slowly walked toward him, as if she was savoring the view with each step she took.  Boldly and confidently, she made her way toward her future.  Toward the one with home her soul loves.

And as she walked toward him, he watched with sort of a solemn look on his face. As if he, too, was savoring each step she took.  Thankful to God for the gift He had given him.  And with a deep breath, he stepped out towards his future.  And with just as much confidence and boldness, he walked toward her.  Toward the one with home his soul loves.

Together they met in the center of the aisle, where he led her toward the rest of their lives together.

Married: Lacey & Stew

Lacey and Stew were married on a warm, sunny Saturday in September with not a cloud in the sky.  Their day was filled with abounding laughter and joy, but also tears.  Lacey’s father passed away only a few years ago, and so as one can imagine, everything about their day was incredibly heartfelt, intentional, and tender. Lacey and Stew, you know you’ve found a friend in me.  I am honored to have been there for you, alongside Jesie and Malerie, to witness the first day of the rest of your lives.  May your hearts always to walk toward one another.

So much love and joy to you,
René
