Ahh!! I am so thrilled to hear all the feedback on Jesie and Brandon’s first post. THANK YOU! You know I *LOVE* comments, right? It’s like tiny little Christmas presents every time I check my e-mail. :) Honestly, I love to know what you think of my work so that I can IMPROVE. So that I can deliver better images. I’m always looking for constructive feedback. Would you like to see more of a particular subject? Less? More B&W? More sepia? More creativity?? I definitely have my style – I know what *I* like and what I’m proud of and that I will always stick to. (Cause if you don’t love your work, why do it?) But I do take into account everything you tell me. Plus it’s great to know what jerks tears and what doesn’t. ;) That said… comment it up, baby!
Unless noted all the images are mine. These two shots of Jesie are probably some of my all time favorites. The one of the left is my absolute favorite. Like ever. Like I’d almost consider putting a huge 24×36 canvas of that in my living room. :) hehe Okay, so maybe not that big, but definitely a framed and matted 5×7. It’s just so soft and delicate!
Another absolute favorite!! This time by Cassie:
Speaking of sexy, get a load of these bridesmaids. Shizzam. And not me, I’m talking about other ones! Cassie did a great job running with my vision on this one and the next.
And this one too. :) I like to call this image “Full Circle.” Sometimes Jesie and I will have our bridesmaids do a “Sex and the City walk.” This time Jes and I were on the other end of the camera and had a hard time “acting natural” and “being fabulous” as we tell our bridesmaids. The photography experience coming full circle.. :)
I love this girl.
We have had some HARD laughs on all our wedding adventures. If one thing is forsure, Jesie and I have a BLASTY-BLAST on wedding days. We just GET each other. She’s always in my head and I’m always in her’s. Often times we’ll both envision the same shot that the other one was envisioning and steal it. haha We practically konk heads running after similar visions and laugh just like this:
Going to the chapel after a few bridesmaid shots:
The following ceremony images are Cassie’s. Jesie’s sweet brother, Levi:
Remember that song “We Are Man and Wife” by Michelle Featherstone that used to play on ReneTate.com? Cappy and sang as the bridesmaids and bride came down the aisle. Talk about a tear jerker..
Brandon’s face before Jesie and after Jesie. :)
Brandon and Jesie were married at this stunning outdoor chapel at the Peaceful Valley Boy Scout Ranch in Elbert, CO.
Dedicating to Jesie and Brandon the same Bible that Jes’ parents received at their wedding.
Okay. This is cool. Like for serious, cool. Brandon has this thing for bag pipes… He kept hinting at them for the wedding and Jesie just kept saying… “I don’t know, babe. I’m not sure they’ll go..” In the middle of their ceremony, the congregation worshipped to Amazing Grace and after the first verse bag pipers began and made their way to the ceremony site from the woods. It was the happiest time! We were all laughing and crying at Brandon’s reaction. Look how excited Jesie is in the first image when Brandon first realizes what’s going on. And then how proud she is of herself in the second:
It was pretty much the coolest thing ever.
One last prayer.
It’s about time!
Ahhh… The best for last:
I’m a fan of the creative, out of the box ring shots. (Pun absolutely intended. :)
We caught the tail end of some incredible light that evening. Some of my all-times:
Oh yeah.. Rockin’ the dress and flip flops. :)
I am such a fan of these close-ups.
Riding off into the sunset…
Literally. :)
Doesn’t get much better than that, does it?

Wow. Beautiful wedding, beautiful couple, breathtaking memories captured by two very talented people. Thank you for sharing these on your blog.
Yay! I’m so glad I stalk your blog because I don’t know how much longer I could have waited before seeing the rest of these. I love these photos… I have to look at them slowly. If I look too fast, I have to start all over again. They’re too awesome to be rushed :)
Absolutely beautiful! What an awesome setting for a wedding! And Jesie, you looked stunning! That dress is amazing and you are sooo photogenic! Bee-u-tee-full!!
I don’t you, I don’t know the people in these pictures, but they honestly moved me to tears. I didn’t realize the power that photographs have to tap into emotion they way that yours do. I am completely undone by the beauty of the moments you captured and the range of emotions that your photographs moved me to; i smiled at the screen not knowing who these people are, what their story is or really anything beyond what you showed me. The bride is so unbeleiveably beautiful and the groom just seems like he knows he is the luckiest man to get her. Overall, gorgeous pictures, gorgeous wedding, gorgeous people.
Wow, these photos are absolutely amazing, Rene. What an awesome experience to be able to be a part of it all! I do believe you have the best job EVER! :) Or maybe it’s just because you’re so good at it! You can really feel the emotion of the entire day through these photos. Love!
Rene, you are so so amazing! These pictures are absolutely incredible. Love you!
Rene-
I came across your work inadvertently awhile back and have been waiting each week to see your breath taking images. These ones of Jesie and Brandon are incredible. I’ve never met Jesie and I feel like you captured all the different little parts of her personality in these photographs. I love your style and work, it’s fantastic!
wow! There are so many things I love about these images! I love all of Jesie’s faces during the ceremony, her beautiful dress, the changing emotions… I especially love the wide shot of the whole wedding after they are introduced as husband and wife, it’s epic! great work Rene, Jesie, you and your family are so beautiful!
RENEEE!!!!!! Those are AMAZING. Like, there are no words. You are the best photographer I’ve ever seen, shooting the most beautiful and adorable couple EVER. In quite possibly the best lighting ever, I might add. You have such a gift! I love them all. I agree, I want to blow several of them up and put them on my wall! Sweet girl, you should be so proud of yourself. xoxo
