Anniversary portraits are my favorite new thing. Because Lord knows marriage ain’t easy. I’m two years in and I’m realizing what a victory it is for two inherently, selfish people to continue to choose each other every day, for the rest of their days.
And these pictures… they’re so much more than pictures.
They’re every tear you’ve shed, every miscommunication you’ve had, every action you’ve forgiven, every battle you’ve chosen… or not. They’re the love pats, the winks across the room, the sentences finished. These pictures commemorate every prayer, every overcome hardship, every dream for the future. These pictures represent the trust and love so deeply rooted… They’re all the things that can’t possibly be understood if someone told you, “Marriage is hard work, but it’s totally worth it.”
Tricia and Joe are 19 years deep into this covenant called marriage. Their advice?
