I love wedding photography.  But what I love most about it is working with the couple.  I feel like I’m at my best in the dynamic of a group of three.  The world seems to slow, and the only thing that matters is the connection between the couple in front of my camera.  Documenting that is a such a thing of beauty and I can’t believe people let me do that.  It’s a honor.

That’s one reason why I adore anniversary sessions, as well.

But more than that, I believe in legacy.  I believe in children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and all the generations that follow who look back on their history.  What they’re made of.  Their legacy.  I believe in standing up in front of God, your family, and your dearest friends and making a vow.  I believe in forgiveness.  I believing in perseverance.

I believe love is a Choice.

Five years ago, I was walking into a Steamboat Springs restaurant for a glass of wine when I got a call from Jason.  He’d found me online, after scouring the internet, saying he finally found someone whose work resonated with him.   Five years ago, I met he and his beautiful wife, Nora, for their five-year anniversary portraits.

Today, I bring you their TEN year anniversary portraits.  This time we shot in the far southwest corner of Colorado at the ghost town turned luxury resort, Dunton Hot Springs. He and Nora celebrated their vow and their legacy there and invited me a long for the adventure.  What a blessing.

Nora & Jason, may these images be cherished for generations to come.  You have a beautiful story, and they tell me, the best is still yet to come.  Cannot wait to see where the next five and ten years take you.
