After Part I of Priscilla & Ben’s pre-wedding photos yesterday, it’s been said by many that, “Canada is like a dreamland.”
I’ve never heard truer words.
Because of its beauty and grander, Priscilla and Ben opted to invest in three portrait sessions, to be sure we covered the best that Banff National Park offered. The second part (of three!) of their pre-wedding photography experience, starts at 6:00AM in downtown Banff. I think we made a wise decision to do a sunrise shoot for downtown Banff; normally the place is crawling with tourists, but on this morning, the only things photos bombs we had were from a few deers.
Before we get into what are some of my favorite engagement images ever, I want to take a minute to talk about these two.
Pree & Ben are kind souls.
They’re good hearts, who have this quiet confidence about the love they share. They’re patient. Generous (they brought me a bottle of their favorite Australian wine!). They’re stylish! And intentional. I just have so much respect for A.) men who serve their country in the military and B.) women who serve their country by taking good care of their service member. These two have endured incredible long distance (think a couple continents and 15 times zones) for long periods of time. But through it all, they have a bigger picture in mind and are okay paying the small price now for a fuller future later.
Pree & Ben, I am SO excited to show you these. The Lake Minnewanka images are soooo beautiful!! I hope you two enjoy!
Much love,
René

From downtown Banff, we ventured across the highway to make our way up to Lake Minnewanka and stopped at this field I had previously scouted to make sure we got some amazing golden, sunrise light!

We wrapped up our sunrise session with a gondola trip to the top of Sulphur Mountain for some pretty sweet views of downtown Banff!
