Good morning! Happy Tuesday!
It has been whirlwind since Memorial Day weekend of cross country travel to Washington DC, followed by a road trip from California to Colorado. Since my arrival to Colorado (for a summer full of weddings!), I’ve shot every day of the week and sometimes twice! We definitely hit the ground running. :-)
My first shoot back in Colorado was of these two delightful friends! Ara and Sam are due to wed in July in the heart of the Rocky Mountains at Strawberry Creek Ranch in Grandby, Colorado. We met up for their engagement photos near the Denver Performing Arts Center for a more urban setting, compared to what their natural wedding photos will be. We started at a gorgeous church, St. Elizabeth’s of Hungary, and then headed across the street to the Performing Arts Center.
Anyone can see that these two are beautiful, classy, and in love. But what I would never guess is just show silly and crazy Sam can be! I was so caught off guard when I randomly said, “Let me do a handstand first,” when I asked him to pose for his individual portrait. So, there in the middle of the grass, Sam attempted about four handstands. I don’t think the man had ever done a handstand in his life; he just wanted to try. :-) Love that. Ara and Sam played and laughed the entire time; I love their chemistry & joy together!
Here to loving like that 50 years down the road, friends! Joy and laughter, and a few handstands, just because, along the way.
So much love and joy to you guys!
René
