These two… *sigh* These two mean a lot to me. Samantha, Joel and I go way back. They were some of the very first people I met in college. Joel a classmate who probably distracted me way to much with his funny antics and Samantha, a fellow leadership scholar who became a mentor of mine for years to come. Samantha is a young entrepreneur as well, launching Colorado Springs Food Tours over 5 years ago. (They also do Brewery Tours!)
When I found out Samantha was engaged to Joel I was beaming with excitement. Samantha is a beautiful woman of God, driven, successful, intelligent, sweet as can be, and tastefully stylish. Joel is a perfect leader for her, someone she can trust and respect, a guy who can really make her laugh, but also one who can challenge her.
Watching these two interact, watching Samantha’s smitten face and Joel’s permanent grin, was such a JOY. We met up at their favorite coffee shop, Agia Sophia and then ventured to TAPAteria in Old Colorado City where Joel popped the question. From there, we headed up the mountain to Divide, Colorado to see the changing leaves. And the most amazing light!
Samantha & Joel, I am completely and totally honored to play a small part of your forever. It is with great eagerness I await your gorgeous wedding day at the Pinery at the Hill this winter. Folks, I have seen THE DRESS and let me tell you – Samantha is going to make an epically, stunning bride. Can’t. Wait.
