We sat across from each other in the dimly lit Medeterrian restaurant, swirling our last sips of wine, talking of life and love. And that’s when she said and she made my whole world click.
“I just have remember to respect him like I respect Jesus.”
Boom.
It was a like a ton of bricks hit me. “How could I have been missing that,” I thought to myself with shock, nodding like I knew it all along. Once Kirsten said that, a whole conversation of authenticity poured out of us. We spoke not only of life and love, but the roller coasters that span throughout. The dips that make you say, “Are we really supposed to be married?” and the peaks that confirm, “It’s always been you.” And we realized that we’re all perfectly normal. That love is a choice. Everyday.
Meet: Kirsten and Tucker
Kirsten and Tucker are Young Life leaders in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. They were sent to me by the fabulous Makenzie and Alex. And boy am I glad the saying’s true: birds of a feather flock together. I just knew if these guys were half as sweet as Mak and Alex, we’d be in good shape. Kirsten and Tucker are those incredibly kind, humble kind of people who don’t know they’re beautiful. They just love each other and smile a lot. And it’s such a reflection of their hearts.
You guys… November 1st can’t get here quick enough. Your wedding is going to be off the charts. I’m so blessed to be the one to capture it. Thanks for the great conversation and encouragement.
With love and joy,
René
