There is just nothing sweeter than those first few days at home with a new baby.
Sweet Sloane Eleanor was just four days old when I had the honor of photographing her at home with her mom, dad, and very proud big sister. I first photographed this beautiful family during a mini session last fall, so being invited into their home to document this next chapter felt especially meaningful.
And truly, this Colorado Springs newborn session could not have gone more perfectly. The girls were absolute angels, no one was fussy, and the light and love were abundant. Kelsey’s beautiful, thoughtfully decorated home made the loveliest backdrop for these relaxed, natural images of their new life as a family of four.
Photographing these two little girls together brought back so many memories of bringing our own second daughter home from the hospital: the tiny newborn snuggles, a newly promoted big sister, and those fleeting first days when everyone is learning a brand-new rhythm together.
This is exactly why I love lifestyle newborn photography. There’s something incredibly special about documenting your family right where these memories are being made—at home, together.
