Ya’ll, I’ve been in the photography business since 2007, shot hundreds of weddings, made some great relationships with my couples and their families, and occasionally I get to do a couple weddings within the same family. But never have I photographed the weddings of ALL of the kids in the family.
Until now!
Libby is the youngest of her siblings, and after I photographed her sister Sarah, brother Josh, and sister Sammie, I was floored she wasn’t sick of me yet! ;-)
I am so so honored to work with her and her family again, and get to know her amazing fiancé, Kevin! They came out to Arizona, from Colorado, to shoot with me against the unique Sonoran Desert. They stayed at our AirBnb for the trip — I love doing that for our couples to make their trip as affordable as possible. The morning before their shoot, we went to Old Town Scottsdale for brunch and mimosas at Morning Squeeze. I learned that these two have been friends and dating for a long time; they met at college in Kansas where they were both there on a athletic scholarship. Kevin’s a Canadian, and although it’s America’s pastime, he was in school on a baseball scholarship! :) :) And Libby’s a volleyball girl. They are both super driven, love to travel, and laugh a lot around each other!
I’m always a little nervous when couples tell me, “We’re not really into PDA, we just laugh a lot.” Mostly because once they get in front of camera the laughter doesn’t always come easily… it’s hard to coach a couple to laugh and be silly for the entire duration of a shoot. But these guys… immediately started off strong… they laughed, played, kissed, and laughed some more.
I cannot wait for their wedding at the Garden of the Gods Club in Colorado Springs this summer! Libby & Kevin, I just love you guys! I hope you love these images as much as I do!
