Oh happy day! I’m so excited to share this sweet, intimate wedding with you! All my couples mean a lot to me, but this one is extra special as I photographed Halie’s sister’s wedding nearly 10 years ago! It was such a joy to be included this in this family again!
Halie & Reid are passionately in love and knew right away they’d met their future spouse. They planned a day that revolved around their favorite things: each other, their families, and the beauty of Aspen, Colorado.
I loved how this day was casual and free-flowing since there wasn’t a huge guest list and long list of vendors. It was just two people who wanted to be in the prettiest place and promise forever together with their family surrounding them. And that’s just what they did!
Halie & Reid got ready in downtown Aspen, and chose to do a first look at the Aspen’s North Star Nature Preserve. From there, we headed up the historic Ashcroft Ghost Town where we selected the perfect spot for their ceremony. Halie’s sister, Emily, officiated, and Halie & Reid read their own vows in an emotional, intimate ceremony, surrounded by their parents, siblings, and a few friends. After some beautiful family portraits, bride and groom portraits, we headed back to their Aspen condo for appetizers and drinks. They ended the night with their people with dinner at Mi Chola in downtown Aspen.
Halie & Reid, this was the best day!! My favorite moment was jamming with you two to Taylor Swift. :-) I can’t listen to the Lover album without thinking of you two now! Thank you for letting me walk a part of this journey with you! I wish you a lifetime of happiness and adventure!
