“How’d you know this was the person you were going to marry?” I asked them over cocktails at the Broadmoor.
Immediately, Aida smiled a big smile and said, “He was easy to love.”
:-)
With a mischievous grin, Patrick proceeded to tell me about this love affair with sardines, and how he eats a can of them every night before bed.
“And surprisingly, she didn’t seem to mind! That’s how I knew she was the one.”
With a chuckle and a knowing look in his eye, he added, “And we play by the same rule book…”
It’s easy when you both play by the same rules and have the same beliefs. For these two, they both fiercely love Jesus. And within he first few dates, they quickly knew they’d met their forever. Not long after, Patrick proposed to Aida, and within months these two were married overlooking one of Aida’s favorite places: Telluride, Colorado.
Their intimate ceremony was just an 8 minute gondola ride away at the top of Telluride’s San Sophia overlook. Patrick’s longtime friend and pastor, Bob, married them. Surrounding them in love and support, were Patrick’s daughter and brother, and Aida’s dear friend. They exchanged rings and vows (written in their Shinola journals I gave them! :-), partook in communion, and said I Do under the perfect, Colorado bluebird day. They toasted to future adventures and life together, as Stevie Wonder’s “Signed Sealed Delivered I’m Yours” played in the background.
Aida & Patrick, things in this world started to make a little more sense when God put together two more puzzle pieces of his master plan. I am so so happy he led you two to each other. Congratulations; the best is yet to come!
With love and joy,
René
