It seems like yesterday that I met TJ and Bill. Except it wasn’t. It was 12 years ago. These two have been René Tate Photography clients from the beginning. And while I wasn’t there to see the first half of their marriage, and I have witnessed a good part of the later half.
I’ve seen both their babies graduate high school. I’ve seen their babies have babies. I’ve seen them endure long deployments and time apart. And through it all, they’ve had ups and down, just as any couple would. But their secret? You just have to get through it. You take it one day at at time.
Marriage is a commitment, no matter what. It’s a choice. Every day these two choose each other, no matter the circumstances. And to be super frank, in their owns, “We put up with each other’s shit.” LOL
They’re right though; we all have it. And we all need someone to support us and walk with us, no matter what we’re going through.
And now, as I write, these two are sitting on a beach in Barbados reflecting their 30 years of marriage and dreaming about the next 30 years! Well earned, friends!
Congratulations, TJ & Bill! You two are an inspiration.
