After saying “I Do,” and making their escape down the aisle together, these two made their way to an overlook and watched with joy, wrapped up in each other, as their wedding party and family made their way down the aisle. They didn’t do a first look, so it would’ve been perfectly understandable if they’d retreated into a private room and celebrated, but this is just the type of people they are. They love their families deeply, are filled with peace and joy from the Lord, and know how to slow down and savor the moments.
Mikayla & Ethan were married in Ft. Collins, Colorado and a modern new venue called Windsong Estate, overlooking the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. A year ago, when planning their ceremony, Mikayla opted to have their ceremony inside, knowing the unpredictability of Colorado afternoon thunderstorms. Her foresight was spot on as we danced around with the wind and rain, and eventually a rain shower.
This was a really special wedding to photograph, as I did Ethan’s sister’s wedding in 2012. What a joy to be surrounded by their awesome family again. Mikayla & Ethan, thank you so much for having me. What a sweet love you two share! Keep holding hands and praying together; the Lord will astound you!
We love you guys and think you’re embarking on the best adventure life has to offer!
So much love & joy to you,
René
