Oh, happy Friday! Whatever you do on this Cinco de Mayo, I hope it includes a little Patrón or my friends, José and Cuervo. ;-)
Speaking of friends, these two are new ones of mine: Amanda & Dave. These two are planning a wedding at Deer Creek Valley Ranch in October and I am so thrilled. The venue is so gorgeous and has the best view of Mt. Evans. Mountains are important to these two – that was pretty much their only request with their engagement pictures – they were open to anywhere in the state, as long as mountains were involved. Oh and train tracks. There haaaad to be some train tracks. Turns out Dave is a total nut when it comes to trains! :-)
So with that in mind, after talking to my dad, a former train engineer, I knew Buena Vista, Colorado would be the perfect place for these two. Complete with tracks running through, and some mountain views that have always taken my breath away every time I drive through. These days, I’m all about shooting in places I’ve never shot before, and this was one of those places. I already can’t wait to go back, however.
Amanda and Dave, I had THE best time with you! Let’s meet up for pretzel bread & beer more often. :-) Prettttty sure we could be lifers. You are both so light hearted – it’s easy to see how much you love each other. I’m privileged to get to know your stories and adventure with you! I can hardly wait for October!
