Today marks the end of the first week that René Tate Photography dons a new hat. The rebrand is complete, the website is live, and new business cards have been ordered.
What exactly does that mean for you?
We are still passionate about weddings. We are still passionate about photographing couples. We are just expanding our market a bit. And by a bit I mean to the world—to work with couples who have an undeniably adventurous heart. We are focusing more on couples photography and less on families. More on lacing up our hiking boots to get to our shooting location and less on staying in the city, unless that city is in Paris or something. :-) We’re passionate about travel and seeing new places!
The New René Tate Photography means I’ll be traveling a lot more for my couples, and when I do, I’ll be sure to announce those adventures incase others want to join in on a destination shoot! The New RTP means airfare is INCLUDED on all our Destination 2017 Experiences.
And if you remember one piece from this post, know this:
Though we’re traveling around the globe, KNOW that I will still be making my MONTHLY trips to Colorado, and will still be shooting in California, as well. I will be taking Colorado weddings – I’m just going to be a little extra careful about which ones I take on. For instance, I may not be the best fit for you if you’re getting married in a hotel anymore, even though I’ve shot some gorgeous ones (!!!) in luxury hotels, but I would probably be a great fit for you if your wedding is on a ranch or atop Vail mountain. More and more, those ranch & mountain weddings make my heart & work come alive!
Now, a thank you: in 10 years, you’ve taken me across the state of Colorado, to all four corners of the United States, and across the pond. I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of my journey thus far. 2017 marks my 10th year in business and my 11th wedding season. It all started with a college professor who gave me a chance to photograph her wedding. Thanks, Amy. It was my first paid gig and a destination wedding, nonetheless. Funny how things come full circle sometimes.
To all of you sweet couples who’ve ever believed in me, I cordially invite you to join me on this new journey! With our new focus being on adventure photography—both international and right here in Colorado & California—I’d like to offer you the chance to do an adventure shoot with me at a discounted rate. I have a wonderful list of new destinations, and I’m not just talking about the Garden of the Gods or Chatfield Botanic Gardens. I’m talking places that require 4 or 5 hours of drive time, or a 4 or 5–mile hike. Places like White Sands National Monument in New Mexico, Crater Lake, Horseshoe Bend, and some other secrets I can’t give away. :-) Places you don’t normally visit. Because, usually, anything that’s worth something isn’t easy. If you are interested, drop me a line!
Over the years, you have put your faith in me to photograph your wedding or anniversary or engagement, and I do not take lightly the task of being your photographer. I want to thank you, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, for teaching me what it means to be a businesswoman, a photographer, a bride.
This journey has been the most blessed gift I could have dreamed of. And I couldn’t have done it without you.
So the journey continues …
