Today is the day! The all new René Tate Photography is living and breathing, and I am elated to share this piece of me with you—you, who have supported me over the last 10 years; you, who are maybe stumbling upon my website for the first time; you, who are sitting behind the computer screen contemplating doing something a little different—and crazy—with your life.
You see, when I graduated from college, the stock market had just crashed and the economy was in a swift downward spiral. Many of my friends were graduating, unable to find employment, and moving back in with their parents. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do after college, but I did know I at least needed to get through the 25 weddings I’d committed to photograph the summer after graduation. I consider that moment my pivotal moment, my crossroads, my road less traveled by. Little did I know then that those 25 weddings would turn into a decade-long (and counting) career. And little did I know then that those 25 weddings would pave the way for me to build a beautiful career surrounded by pillars of joy, purpose, passion, and adventure.
And the journey continues …
After 10 years of experience, on the cusp of my 30th birthday, having photographed over 150 weddings—I can certainly say I’ve had some unforgettable experiences and met some of the nicest people on this planet. In fact, I’ve made more clients-turned-friends than I can count. But I am a different woman than that fresh-faced, 19-year-old with an entry-level camera in hand. My WHY is still the same, but my who and what are somewhat different. That’s why I know … deep down in my heart … that it’s time for a change. Something new to bring back that PASSION and PURPOSE and EAGERNESS I so cherished at the beginning of my career.
With all of that said, I would like to introduce René Tate 2.0, the new René Tate Photography. Looking ahead, this brand reflects my heart, my free spirit, and my love of adventure, meeting new people, and exploring new places. Most of all, it’s still centered around what’s always been my passion to photograph: couples in love. Except this time, those couples in love, love adventure.
René Tate couples have an unquenchable thirst for adventure and an insatiable desire to explore every inch of this beautiful world. They love to lose themselves in a new city, eat food they can’t pronounce, check “Paris” and “sky dive” off their bucket lists, and have the kind of experiences most people only dream about. Our couples believe that saying “Will you marry me?” is only the beginning of the adventure of a lifetime, one with which they look forward to with excitement, hope, and a big dose of courage.
Above all, René Tate couples believe that their legacy and commitment will leave a lasting impact far beyond their stunning wedding day.
