Ooo, fall is in the AIR!  And I am so excited to share with you this beauty of an engagement session!

I pretty much attended all of my K-12 years with Sarah so imagine my smile when she called asking us to photograph her wedding!  We weren’t super close, but growing up in a small town, everyone knows everyone and in a way you kind of are close.  Sarah’s always had classic taste, so I knew a.) whoever she said YES to was going to be quality and b.) her engagement & wedding would be stunning!  So far we have a resounding YES on two out of three and I expect the wedding will be spectacular!

These two got engaged at the top of the ski slopes in Crested Butte, Colorado.  As she was buckling into her snowboard, ready to cruise down the last run of the day, Nick up and popped the question. Like most girls, Sarah was completely caught off guard and legend has it she was silent for a solid 30-45 seconds in shock! :-)

We originally planned to do these engagement images in Crested Butte, but life (and the CU/CSU game ;-) kind of got in the way and we opted to do a shoot a little closer to home, a little less off the beaten path.  The changing colors were most important to these two, and I think we nailed them in beautiful Salida!

Nick, I know you’re not much of a photo guy, as many grooms can relate, but I hope you had fun and enjoy these moments!  You SHOULD be more of a photo guy because you totally, completely rocked it!  Sarah, you’re such a beauty to photograph  !I look forward to many more glasses of wine with you too!  Thank you both so much for the great conversation prior to our shoot! Cannot wait for your June wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch!
