Probably my favorite of part of this “job” is getting to know new people. Where they’ve been, where they’re going. What made them who they are today. And doing so in a really authentic way. I think relationships are what counts on this earth, and to think that I just get to build relationships for a job (cause without an real relationship between the photog and subject, real photos are tough) is a dream.
My favorite part of Paige & Clayton? Their authenticity. Their candor. And the way they aren’t afraid to speak their mind. My favorite part of their shoot? Standing in the middle of a grassy, green field with the pink Rockies bordering us in the distance, and sharing our testimonies of how we came to know God.
These two are recent grads of the University of Colorado in Boulder, so what better place to do their engagement portraits than where they met? We walked around the main quad of campus and then ended atop this hill in Louisville for the prettiest sunset.
Clayton & Paige, thank you for letting me share this time with you. Thank you for opening up and sharing your hearts with me. I cannot wait for October! Really looking forward to spending more time with you soon!! Clayton, perhaps on the golf course? We’ll get Ash & Matt out there too. ;-)
With love and joy,
René
