Today’s post is a fun one!
We shot with Amber & Shane around downtown Estes Park and then again around their favorite spots within Rocky Mountain National Park. But the further we drove up that mountain in the national park, the colder and windier it got – making for some really fun, frozen photos! We actually created most of the snowy photos you see a frozen lake, surrounded by these glorious snowy trees and mountains. The wind was howling, causing these gusts of snow to sweep us up (like a snowy, dust devil), as if Elsa herself was unleashing her power and creating her very own ice palace! What a beautiful sight it was!
Amber & Shane are two sweethearts who love to adventure together – they ski, snowshoe, take their dog for hikes around their neighboring lake, and both have backgrounds in meteorology! Shane actually chases storms! So that’s awesome. :)
I really enjoyed getting to know these two! I first met them at Karen & Steve’s wedding when Shane was a groomsman and Amber was in charge of watching Karen and Steve’s dogs who were in the wedding.
Amber & Shane, thank you for the great adventure!! I cannot wait for your September wedding at Chatfield Botanic Gardens! Looking forward to seeing you for dinner soon!
Love you guys!!

Those are wonderful photos!
Fabulous photography, Rene! Love the frozen waterfall background and the shots wrapped up in the blanket. Congrats Shane & Amber!
