You’ve almost made it through another cold, snowy week, Coloradans! Surely spring is around here SOMEWHERE! One would think it was truly springtime by the looks of Nikki and Charlie’s engagement session. I believe we just have good karma around here. Cara and Brice wanted snow and we got it. Nikki and Charlie didn’t, and we managed to find a warm, sunny day in between all the blizzards. :-) Colorado, you are so silly with your weather sometimes.
I hadn’t the pleasure of meeting Nikki and Charlie until the day of this session. So we met up for drinks before the shoot. Yay!
They met and fell in love in Fort Collins while at college, but later moved to the Western Slope. So what a better place for their engagement session than where their love unfolded… Home of the Rams!
I’d never shot on the actual campus of CSU, but sure was impressed with the gorgeous Oval and can’t wait to see that place in the fall.
When Nikki told me that they were boot-wearin’, Harley-ridin’, shotgun-shootin’ kind people, I knew we had to venture out into the beautiful country that northern Colorado offers. From CSU we headed to Ault, Colorado to a very beautiful farm.
Charlie and Nikki, I felt so at ease with you two. I can’t wait to photograph you stunning October Snowmass Village wedding. Promise you’ll bring that same camera chemistry that you showed off here on the big day. :-)
