Leaning against the corner of the brick wall she stood and waited. Patiently. The warmth of the sun on her skin, the quiet in the air. With only a couple butterflies in her tummy to keep her company and a smile on her face. She stood with her hands folded together and waited for his hand to envelope hers.
Inside the church, he stood in a corner, cautious to not accidentally run into her until he was given the go ahead. As his best man led him outside, he took a deep breath as he was led to same corner where she stood. He exhaled a sigh of relief as he leaned back against the brick. His face softened as she reached around the corner and placed her hand in his.
Together they stood, hand in hand, but not face to face, and prayed. Thanking God for one another, they cried tears of joy and gratitude. They prayed over their marriage to come and their roles in each others’ lives. Together they stood, hand in hand, and in that very moment prayed the first prayer of the rest of their lives, in some ways beginning the love story God had written on their hearts.
Married: Stephanie and Peter
These two were married on a gorgeous, fall day in Parker, Colorado. Surrounded by family and friends from all over the globe, they celebrated in elaborate decoration. Stephanie and Peter, thank you for choosing us. You know it’s a good thing when we can just spend hours talking and never actually get to business. :-) I’m grateful for friendship.
With love and joy,
René + Jesie
