Aimee and Keven were married at the beginning of October when the month was off to a chilly start.
In good stride, Aimee remained calm as she woke up to a bitter cold, overcast, foggy day, rather than the wedding she envisioned: warm, sunny, gorgeous ceremony views, outdoor cocktails and dancing.
Thankfully, though a bit chilly, the fog seemed to lift just in time to showcase the gorgeous, mountain backdrop from which she grew up. When I asked Aimee what she wanted captured most she replied, “Everyone having fun. And the MOUNTAINS! Colorado!”
I’m really excited to show you Aimee and Keven’s wedding and for you to get to know them. Not only was it a seriously beautiful wedding, but Aimee is one of my oldest friends. I can still vividly picture the day I met Aimee. We were only eleven or twelve years old. It was recess on the playgrounds of McKinley Elementary School. Aimee was the new girl. I think what drew me to her was her beauty. She was stunning. And she had the longest hair of anyone in our class. I knew I wanted to be her friend as soon as I saw her. I’m not sure what happened next. Or how we clicked. Perhaps it was on the club volleyball court. Perhaps we gravitated to one another’s slightly inverted personalities. But for the next several years we were inseparable.
Aimee Lou, I can’t believe you’re married! I am truly so honored to have shared this day with you and your family. Keven, seeing you love Aimee the way you do brings such a smile to my face. I’m glad she’s with you and I’m confident you’ll take very good care of her. :-)
