Good morning and happy Tuesday! I cannot believe it’s almost July! I suppose it’s that time of year for us photographers. The time of year when it seems like we just bought a new pair of shooting shoes and we’re already ready for new ones.
Out of the 52 weeks in a year, the last two have been the biggest for me. At least I think so. No tellin’ what the future holds, but these last fourteen days have been bananas. Our days have been filled with logistics meetings and consultations for 2013 weddings. Our evenings have consisted of engagement session after engagement session. I believe there was one week we had four in a row, then a rehearsal dinner, then a wedding, followed by two days of training a new employee, then a Steamboat wedding. Our second week started on the drive home from Steamboat; we got in around 2am on Sunday. I slept for a few hours and headed to Cañon City for an anniversary event. Monday kicked off a three day journalism workshop at Glen Eyrie. Every year I’m one of two directors to plan the program and also teach about 11 workshops on photography. It’s party. Throw in a couple more meetings and engagements and a wedding and here we are!
With that said, I want to thank Christina and Keith so much for their patience. I met up with these two at the start of the crazy for a super relaxed picnic-esque shoot at Red Rocks Open Space. These two exude so much joy and innocent, young love. It’s beautiful.
C&K, thank you for being so candid and playful in front of the camera. I had a blast and can hardly wait for your July wedding!
So much love and joy to you,
René
One of my favorites!
