Broadmoor Wedding: Jamie & Ray – Part I

We sat in the south tower lobby of the Broadmoor.  Ornate decor surrounded us, large couches and chairs that enveloped you.  The fireplace was alive and crackling.  It was just the two of us.  On one of the biggest days of his life.

“I just knew,” he told me in reference to this bride-to-be.  “I always knew.”

It was my first time meeting Ray.  That’s what happens when you get a call two weeks before the wedding saying, “Are you available? We’re eloping!” But as I sat there for 10 or 15 minutes getting to know him as he so quickly and willingly spilled his heart to me I felt like I had know him for years.

I always knew she was the one.  The one who would let me be the second most important man in her life.

“The second most?” I questioned, though I was about 99.9% sure I knew what he meant.

“Yeah, the second. Me and Him,” he grinned that big ol Ray grin and shot a quick look towards the ceiling.

Jamie and Ray were married on one of the nicest days in February.  In fact, it snowed the next morning.  Myself, their pastor and his wife, her best friend, and Ray’s son all met in their beautiful suite to witness and document a truly joyful, monumental event.

It was perfect.

So much love you Jamie and Ray,
René
