He stood with his back towards the door and with a giant exhale he closed his eyes and bowed his head — surely thanking God for the moment to come.
Click clack, click clack.
The sound of her heels grew louder as he looked up and breathed again. Rounding the corner, she peered through her birdcage veil at the back of her husband-to-be. Letting out a noise only recognizable by her lover, he spun around. The air was knocked out of him at first sight. In pure shock of her beauty, his body nearly collapsed in half as he covered his mouth and closed his eyes. Through teary eyes he looked up and whispered, “You look absolutely exquisite.”
She giggled, but soon surrendered to tears as well. Circling her a number of times in awe, he gently touched every detail of her dress and pressed his lips to her forehead…
