Steamboat Springs: Emma and Eric

It’s finally Friday!  I’ve been kind of busy the last 24 hours or so working on a little project for the boyfriend… who I’m going to visit in precisely 24 more hours at his new location in Las Vegas, Nevada!  Woo!  I can’t wait – and I gotta tell you, this little surprise I’ve been working on for him over the last couple of days has reminded me how really, truly good it feels to serve him.  I love taking care of that boy.  Love it!  Absolutely can’t wait to start working on more surprises for him.  And speaking of care taking (this is a really terrible segway, but I’m rollin’ with it), Emma and Eric know a thing or two about care taking.

Not only are they care takers for a ranch, but also for each other.  If you missed their engagement pictures, please do make sure you check them out and read their story here.  These two were married on the most gorgeous fall day in the best place to view the Colorado fall leaves: Steamboat Springs.  Eric had been recovering from a broken femur and was doing so, so well the day before the wedding.  He was getting around very easily with little aid from a cane when he slide out of his truck wrong and hurt himself all over again.  Poor Eric was on crutches and in the worst pain ever on their wedding day.  But sweet Emma exhibited the most grace and patience that I’ve ever seen in an RTP bride.  What a great example she set for us women present that day.

Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.  I loved Emma’s colors and HER DRESS!  Just breathtaking.

Enjoy!

Emma is absolutely stunning with her green eyes and subtle red hair.

Love this moment between Emma, her sister, and mother.

Emma, I kind of want to be you.  Just a little.  Okay.  A lot.

Off to the ceremony!

Love love love love love this shot Jesie grabbed of one of the bridesmaids! I kinda want to be her too.  ;-) She looks pretty fabulous.

Emma pretty much had THE best flowers of the season!  Love the tweed!

Eric you look awesome! I know you felt horrible, but it never showed!  Jesie’s shot:

10 minute rule was so good!

Love this angle by Jesie:

With the high school friends at the cocktail hour.

The toasts were so good…

I’m trying to be humble out these next two shots because I took them, but I gotta say, I really really love them.  I got to thinking that I’ve never captured a wedding through the eyes of a bartender!

Love the random hand on the right and the fact that the bartender is drinking too.

E&E…. We love you.  We owe you a crutchless shoot!

With joy,
René
