Happy Hump Day! It’s been a while since we’ve posted a wedding. I know.. it’s dumb. Good thing is, we’ve been working like crazy to get a bunch lined up for you over the next few weeks. I’m preparing to move this week and then next week I’m headed to the Pictage PartnerCon in New Orleans, then Cancun for a wedding, then it’s Thanksgiving! Whew! November is sure to fly by in the blink of an eye.
Let’s start of all the wedding goodness with Matthew and Ericka’s gorgeous Boulder wedding. When I asked them what was most important to them on their wedding day, photo-wise, they answered lots of pictures of our friends and of us. So that’s what you’re gonna get on this blog! Ericka and Matthew have been in the RTP circle for a couple of years now. We did their engagement pictures when we were still on the old blog and finally we got to do their wedding! They are some of the most grateful and ENCOURAGING people I have ever met. Period.
You know it’s going to be a good wedding with a lacy veil like this one!
Um… And the fact that their colors were the official RTP colors: brown and olive green. :-)
Aaaand it was Scrabble themed!!

Matthew and Ericka opted for a first look at their reception hotel of choice: The Boulderado.
I thought it was so special how they had their whole wedding party and family watch.
After the first look we wandered around downtown to get a few shots of them and the wedding party.
Okay, so check this: Matt got a latté that morning, and its shadow created a heart on the table! He of course took a photo.
After a few wedding party images, it was off to the church.
I love that these guys had live music (by their friends) to accompany the ceremony. They played some pretty hip songs too, to include The Gambler by Fun.
While I was out getting a few images of the bride and groom, Jesie was back at the reception catching the details and cocktail hour at the Boulderado.
Matthew proposed to Ericka at their favorite coffee shop of choice, Caribou Coffee, over their favorite game: Scrabble. This is what Ericka saw when she opened their travel Scrabble board. Not only special words that meant a lot to them, but also those four little words in orange.
They had the coolest cake topper that matched what they were wearing that day! Even down to Ericka’s necklace, which I thought was a pretty awesome detail!
Ericka and Matthew, Jes and I have never had so much fun at a wedding before. We loved you, your family, and of course, your wedding colors. ;-)
