I love my job. Can I just say that real fast? I LOVE my job.
But, it’s not just a job. As one of my awesome brides described what I do: it’s a lifestyle, not just a job. I feel so, so incredibly blessed every single day when I get out of bed and I can’t wait to get my Krups coffee pot going and sit down in front of my computer (or camera some days!). It’s been a busy couple of weeks with shoot after shoot, but trust me, I have eye candy that you wouldn’t believe! Oh, just you wait.. I’ll feed you baby birds. ;-)
The first set of eye candy: Tracey and Mike’s wedding. *sigh* Oh man… was it good. It was one of those super rare days in April in Colorado when winter went away and spring came out to show its gorgeous face. After four wedding seasons, Tracey and Mike get the gold star for giving me my FIRST wedding in my hometown of Cañon City. Tracey just looked absolutely stunning, Mike looked oh-so sharp, the groomsmen were a hoot, and the emotions were every direction I turned my head! It was a photographer’s paradise.
Tracey and Mike… I adore you. Absolutely adore you two. Keep laughing and traveling. Thank you so much for including Jesie and I in your wedding. (Last night I finished the bottle of wine you gave me! SO good!)
With love and joy,
René
These flower girls were so sweet! Just wanted to take ’em home with me!
I heart this so much! Sometimes all the stars just line up perfectly.
While Jes hung back with the girls, I spent some time with the boys.
Tracey’s dad in the background watching all the chaos that is ties, pocket squares, and cuff links.
Mike, you have the best laugh and smile that will light up an entire room!
Mike had me laughing all day!
Tracey looked like a queen!
LOVE this one of Trace seeing her mom for the first time all done up. :)
Opening a little gift from Mike.
Not just one little gift. But three. Oh yeah. Nicely done, Mike!
Time for some bridesmaids shots. This next photo Jesie grabbed makes me laugh. She was helpin’ me!
Part II is killer…. great emotions, great car, great orchard! Stay tuned.

Oh, I love the one of the groom looking all groovy walking across the bridge with his guys. Also, those gorgeous little flower girls!
Great pics. Thanks for taking part in our day. The bride is stunning and I’m trying to talk her into doing it again. Thanks again for taking such great pics.
Oh my gosh! The one of the little flower girl posing under the picture of Marilyn Monroe made me smile!
WOW! I knew when we had seen your previous pictures that you were an AWESOME photographer and we were SO right!! These pictures are incredible and portray the happiness of the day. Rene and Jesie – we can never thank you enough for doing such a beautiful job! Love you both!
PS – They must have had an amazing wedding planner :)
I absolutely LOVE the picture of the bouquet up against the fence! Such great colors! As always, beautiful work Rene…your talent blows me away!
I am the mother of the groom and may not be totally objective, but I thought the wedding was awesome! The pics on this blog are fantastic. I can hardly wait to see the complete package. Rene and Jesie, you did incredible shots for Mike and Tracey. You both seemed to enjoy the whole day and evening. Rene, we’ve known you since you were a “wee” little one and you have grown up to be an ammazing person and photographer! Thank you for being a part of Mike and Tracey’s day and for doing such a super job with all the pics. You are GREAT!!
My favorite is the one of the father sitting while the guys are getting ready. There’s just something about dads and weddings that tug at my heart strings! Amazing, amazing work Rene & Jesie!
Great pictures!
Fantastic Pictures! Those guys look so sharp!
Wow! These are amazing photos. Makes me want to renew vows with my guy! Thanks so much for sharing Shelley. Can’t wait for Part II.
The photo that was overexposed, couldn’t that be improved?
oh my lollipop. that flower girl is like….epic stage face. I see “Ballerina” written all over her. the one of her smiling under Monroe was my FAVE.
The backdrop was beautiful and your photographer took full advantage using it to make memorial pictures. Congratulations.
All of the pictures are beautiful. You both did a great job. I think you captured the feeling in the pictures.
The pictures are absolutely stunning. Rene, you have such a talent for finding beauty in unexpected expressions, unusual angles, and the juxtaposition between ordinary and extraordinary. What a talent! Of course, it doesn’t hurt when you have such a beautiful bride and handsome groom as your subjects. :)
I loved how the pictures told me their story, from start to finish.
Loved the photos of groomsmen crossing the bridge and the flower girl under the picture of Marylin Monroe.
Wow what incredible memories have been captured in these fabulous photos, I love the overexposed shot!!
