Ft. Collins Engagement: Courtney & Dorn

Happy Friday!  Wanted to share two very special things with you.  Number one, a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke.  This poem has meant a lot to me over the last year as I dig deeper in relationships with others.  Thought it might bring some peace to your heart as well:

Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart.

Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language.

Do not now look for the answers.

They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them.

It is a question of experiencing everything.

At present you need to live the question.

Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day.

Lastly, here’s a fun engagement shoot that ought to get you excited for summertime.  Courtney and Dorn are two high school sweethearts from Ft. Collins, CO. We did their engagement pictures several months ago around downtown Fort Collins and then finished up at Fort FUN!

With 20 years of experience, I bring a calm, steady presence to your most meaningful days. I specialize in documenting relationships over time—from weddings and anniversaries to babies and families—with a love for black-and-white imagery, honest moments, and photographs that belong in albums, not just on a feed. There are no forced poses or “pretend to” prompts here, only space for what’s real. I’m not just here for the highlight; I’m here for the history you’re creating.

And I can't wait to capture your story
