Part II of Matt and Aubrey’s engagement experience picks up in the heart of Denver. You’ll notice a huge climactic shift in this post and the first post; I have never seen a storm move in so fast! I was shooting in short sleeves, the sun was shining, and the temperate was at least sixty. In the twenty minutes it took into downtown, the clouds quickly tumbled in and the snow and rain started coming. Poor little Aubrey from Atlanta had hardly seen snow before and was FREEZING, but desperately wanted snow in her shots, so we powered through! My kind of couple!
Yeah, it was an ice house to say the least….
Love love love these! Finally a good use of rush-hour: a portrait background!
Took a quick illegal trip on the Light Rail. :-)

this is probably my favorite of your photo shoots! I love how you used the traffic in Denver as a backdrop. AWESOME!
René– The colors in these are AWESOME. Especially the street shots with the double yellow lines. Spectacular.
The first one where they are kissing by the door is gorgeous, and oh so classic!
Awesome shots!
Again, I love Aubrey’s shoes!!! But seriously Rene, I always dig the street shots you come out with. Particularly adore the “STUD” background shots. Super cute and creative!
could she be any more gorgeous? i love you aubrey.. can’t wait to meet matt and wear that bridesmaid dress!! ah. and i hope rene can be available in a few years for my wedding? love ya’ll.
So AFTER walking around Denver today generating ideas for Marshall’s shoot, I decided to come onto your blog for inspiration and funny enough, I recognize every street.
So far in Tattered Cover, inside Union Station, and in front of those signs that say “You Stud” etc (you’d have to know Marshall to know that’s ALL too appropriate!) were a few ideas and lo-and-behold voila, they are on Rene Tate’s blog!!! hahahaha
Thank you for your inspiration and belief despite my lack of talent and natural eye….we’ll have to see what Marshall and his friend decide to do and see how our ideas compare :)
