Greetings from Colorado! Jes and I are back from Justin and Lauren’s killer St. Louis wedding. It’s hard to believe I do this for a living… Wait till you see the photos. Until then, part II of Meghan and Jason’s Illinois wedding picks up at the pre-ceremony bride and groom photos at the outstanding Ewing Manor. One of my favorites:
Ewing features an outdoor theater. Jason’s father actually played a role in the development and construction of the theater. And with Meghan’s acting experience, we knew it was a shooting must.
This is classic. In the midst of the bride and groom portrait session, I glanced over and noticed these sweet bridesmaids bored out of their gourds, texting.
We had such a fun family portrait session! This is Meghan’s immediate family.
Ceremony time! Great shot by Jesie:
I love the way he looks at her as she read her vows. I also LOVED how involved the parents were in this ceremony, standing by, giving their approval as their children committed their lives to one another.
Meghan and Jason sneaked away immediately after the ceremony to enjoy a small dinner together and soak up what just happened. Love it!
The reception was, of course, a blasty blast. Meghan’s dad is a music teacher and played a huge role in accompanying parts of the reception.
Held at Illinois State University’s Circus Room was one of the most lively receptions I’ve ever attended.
Meghan and Jason are so cool! If I had to choose my first dance song, it’d be THEIR first dance song, Everything by Mr. Bublé. You should’ve seen the look on my face when it came on!
It was such a fun dance too! Not your usual sway back and forth kind of dance. Meghan was very comfortable performing in front of others as she was very involved in theater at Millikin University.
The Hora!
Miss Jesie stole the show when she captured this moment… Why? Because it was one of the few tender and intimate moments when joy and laughter wasn’t pouring out of them.
For the scrapbook.
Meghan, Jason, and parents, we cannot thank you enough for such an incredible weekend. Jesie and I actively look for any excuse to visit Illinois! We’re lifers. You’ve always got a place to stay here in Colorado. Here’s to many more memories! Love you!
