It is Friday night… and I just finished working on one of my favorite engagement shoots of the year.  And I simply cannot wait until Monday morning to to share it with the world! So tonight, to end your week, is the most pretty fall engagement session you ever did see!

Christy & Josh, have just GOT IT.  Did you ever meet those people who fall together so perfectly and so effortlessly, that you can’t imagine the two ever being apart?  Josh & Christy are that to me.  Their love for one another feels calm and stable and deeply rooted.  These two get each other.  You can tell their teammates.  Partners.  Each other’s biggest cheerleaders.

These two wanted fall colors.  I’ve come to learn Colorado’s fall foliage’s like the back of my hand.  Basically, the high country starts to change about a week after Labor Day.  You start there as an engagement photographer.  As the weeks progress, you work further and further south and lower in elevation.  And if we don’t get a crazy frost, I can get prime fall colors all the way into late November.  These images were made mid-October and prime fall colors were happening in South-central Colorado.  So alas, they made the trek to Colorado Springs where we met up for a few drinks and then played.  Lately, I’ve been challenging myself to shoot in new places, and in ten years of shooting in Colorado Springs, I had never been to Bear Creek Regional Park.  So it was there we began and got all warmed up.   Then we ventured to the Garden of the Gods overlook.  And the sweetest part of it all? We were joined by the happiest labradoodle, Oliver.  *all the heart eyes!*

Oh yeah, I’d be remiss to if I failed to mention that we just photographed Josh’s sister, Sarah’s wedding this summer.  I love this family so so much and am thrilled to work with them again!  Cannot wait to get to know Christy’s clan at their Steamboat Springs wedding this summer. <3

Christy & Josh, love you guys.  I so enjoyed our time together, getting to know your hearts.  I love that you love the simple life.  We are kindred spirits for sure.  I cannot wait to see where life takes you and in the meantime, your wedding is going to be epic and I am absolutely thrilled to be there!
