Ft. Collins: Alicia & Scott – Part I

Oh man… do I have some sweet eye candy for you all on this fine snow day.  I’m sure a lot of y’all are stuck at home right now – there are delays and closures all over Colorado Springs  – so we thought we’d put together a little THREE part series of this particular wedding.  Hey, when you have as many details as Scott and Alicia, there’s no way everything can be put into two parts. :-)

I don’t even know where to begin with these two.  Let me just give you a glimpse how beautiful these two are: it was the day after their wedding.  They were scheduled to fly out on a red-eye.  Before they even left for the airport, I got a voicemail from these guys – just calling to check on me.  They sensed I was a little off the day before, goin’ through maybe a tough time, and just called me.  No one else.  Just their crazy photographer.  I called ’em back and we ended up having a 3-way phone conversation for nearly an hour!  haha

Then, on their ten day honeymoon, these guys prayed for me.

Like daily.

We had some great video chats when they returned and we’re going to dinner tonight!  haha  I’d say they’ve adopted me. But not in like a weird way. :-) More so, I’d say God was incredibly purposeful in intersecting our lives.

Scott and Alicia, you two are such a blessing and such perfect example of “when it’s time to walk that way, we wanna walk it well.”

I love you guys.  That’s all.

With so much joy,
René

Best line of the day:
R: “So what do you shoes look like, Alicia?”
A: “Well… they’re actually not that cute.  Their Sketchers.  But their not like the Shape-Up ones.”

Hmm.. you may be wondering what these sunglasses and heels are for.  You just stay tuned.  It’ll be well worth the wait.

So Alicia actually did a few portraits in her mother’s dress.  So cool….

Alicia had the most gorgeous dress custom made by Penelope’s in Salt Lake.  Auh-mazing!

Alright, just get out the tissues now…

These guys had some alone time with their folks and honored God with a special communion ceremony before their wedding ceremony.

Scott’s reaction to her walking down the aisle was just as good when he saw her for the first time.

Stay tuned for our inaugural Extravagant Details post!
