Kami & Chris’ Maternity Experience – Week 2

17.02.11 maternity

What a pleasure it was to finally hold this little baby in my arms.  It was only a couple of weeks ago that we did Kami and Chris’ maternity session.  Soon after, Noelle Irene was born.  This is the first baby shoot of the newly announced Maternity Experience.  We had a blasty!  I giggled as I watched these two brand-new parents try to change a baby, going through four (4!) diapers in the process.

Kami and Chris, I adore you.  We’ve come along way, friends.  Thank you for including me in your lives for all your big occasions.  What an honor.

Noelle is exactly two weeks old here.

While babies are wonderful, I think my heart still sides with capturing the ever evolving love between the parents.
Especially when I’ve photographed these two parents over five times.

Happy Valentines Day!  I’m back home from beautiful Hawaii and have less than a week here in beautiful Colorado Springs, then it’s off to Las Vegas for WPPI.  More on both of those topics later.  Just as soon as I returned a couple of days ago, I jumped into reality headfirst with two incredible shoots.  I’ve lots to share with you, so stay tuned!

And because posts are always better with photos, here’s a quick image of my folks and I from the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor.

Happy Friday! You know, my friends like to call me spontaneous.  I think it was Stephanie who listed on MySpace, “being spontaneous with René” as one of her favorite activities.  What can I say… I get it from my dad. He is the king of spontaneity.

This is the guy who called me up precisely one month ago, January 3rd, and said, “Bink!” (That’s my nickname.) “I wanna take your mom to Hawaii. And I can’t do it alone; I need your help planning, findin’ the good deals, and being our tour guide!”  30 days later, here I am on sunny Waikiki Beach, leading two senior citizens across the great state that balanced out our flag.  It’s awesome!

We finished our first day in Honolulu with a thorough tour of Pearl Harbor and Ford Island and are off to do a little island hopping tomorrow!

Until then, aloha!  And to my fellow Coloradans: enjoy that -15. ;-)
