Forestgate Church: Elizabeth & Ryan – Part II (of III)

We pick up with the second part of Elizabeth and Ryan’s three part series just at the start of the ceremony.

I think I may have gotten a little teary-eyed here…. Those grooms praying with their brides always get me!

Denver Engagement: Kendall and Ryan

They are laid back. Easy going. Casual, yet sophisticated. They’ve been dating for nearly five years. Both Gonzaga graduates and champions at long distance relationships. She studied in Italy for seven months; he only visited for ten days. They’re best friends and just love to do anything… as long as it’s together. Particularly, Rockies games.

“She just brings out the best in me,” Ryan stated. “How about you, Kendall? What you do love about Ryan?” After a giggle she just responded, “I know it’s cliché — everything!”

Kendall, Ryan, and I met at Ink! coffee in Riverfront Park in Denver and from their spent the evening walking the area and laughing. Despite Ryan’s objection to “modely” photos, he ended up being a natural and didn’t even know it. And Kendall? Ain’t no thing for this girl.

Absolutely love these lines.

Yeah… that. He just grabbed her and they ever so gracefully swung into a kiss.

I love Kendall and Ryan not only for their adoringly sweet selves, but also because they followed my wardrobe tips to a T.

Can we talk about this killer light and these killer expressions?! Geez a loo.

Work. It.

Woo! Go Rocks!

Ryan is pretty much a champion dipper. That is all.

After some fun around Coors, we headed to one of their favorite hangouts, Falling Rock Tap Hose, where they treated me to a beer. Okay, it was actually cider. But they had beers. :-)

And things got a little sultry.

*sigh* Love love love.

Kendall and Ryan… June can’t get here fast enough! Thank you for such an awesome night and for being so wonderful to work with! Love you guys!!

Featured: Justin & Mary

22.09.10 the latest & greatest

So I’m not gonna lie, my legs went a little numb when I read Mary Marantz’ Tweet notifying the whole world that they had posted a blog feature on some “up and coming” photographer and saw that the name associated was MINE!

Justin and Mary are some pretty incredible business owners and photographers based out of New Haven, Connecticut. And I look up to them.  A lot.  So you can imagine how honored I was when they contacted me to be featured on their blog for a new series they’re doing called “Ones to Watch” and wanted me to be the first One featured.

Mary and Justin, I cannot thank you enough for your friendship and “mentor-ship” over the last couple of years. I am so completely honored and thrilled.  Thank you for thinking of me for this series, and more importantly, for your continual support and encouraging selves.

Last month I had the chance to hang with J&M at their home in New Haven and grab lunch at one of their favorite places next door to Yale.  Mary and I are Starbucks zealots; she’s a skinny vanilla latté girl, I’m a peppermint americano gal.

Why The Face?

Today is a big day.

You see, I’m always a little late getting into the “hip” things.  Crocs, when they were hip, took me like two years get.  (By the way, I do NOT wear those anymore.)  Eyeliner on the bottom of my eyelids… didn’t figure out what that did for a girl until college.  Switching from straight coffee to Americanos took a while too.  And, admittedly, Modern Family isn’t any different.

A couple months ago I got an Apple TV.  Big surprise, those came out like four years ago and I’m just now getting one.  And I sort of got a little carried away with it’s ability to download practically any television show and play them instantly.  This was great for a girl with no cable!  By the prodding of one of my best friends, I downloaded the pilot of this new show called Modern Family.  And LOVED IT.   Bought the next episode just to make sure I still loved it.  Yep.  Bought the whole season.  It’s all I watch.

It came out last year and apparently was a pretty big deal… I guess it won a couple of Emmys already.  And today, well today is a big day.  Today is the premier of season two.  Holla!

If you haven’t already got into this show, you must.  It’s the only cool way to edit photos.

And this is an introduction to my favorite character, Phil.  Gotta say, I kind of have a crush on him.  Is that weird?
