Albums!

25.06.10 the latest & greatest

Just wanted to hop on real quick to show you Katy and Austin’s album that came in not too long ago.  Nearly every one of my couples order an album to commemorate their day and I always forget to photograph the albums for you blog readers out there!  I’m always too excited to wrap them up and show give ‘em to my friends – sometimes over dinner. :-)

This is our 8×10 Willowbook Sequoia, leather bound album and it’s just gorgeous!  It’s been the most popular with our brides. It’s traditional and elegant, and will stand the test of time, yet it features a slightly modern design on the inside.  It’s the perfect heirloom to hand down to your childrens’ childrens’ children. :-) All of your images are carefully mounted on durable hardbacked pages with a stunning book-style binding.

Enjoy!

Country Wedding: Chris & Kami – Part III

22.06.10 weddings

Chris and Kami Part III = Eye candy!  We pick up just after the ceremony and head to some beautiful country for more yummy portraits of the wedding party and the B&G.

Love these streamers!

Kami’s brother, Kirbi, drove this sweet getaway car.

100% candid while we waited for the wedding party to show up. They were just lovin’ on each other all the time!

Jesie is my star.  She’s the best at getting all these awesome side shots.

And these cool CIA-esque shots. ;-)

Heart this.

Kami, you make this photo a photo!

Ahh!  These were so much fun to shoot!  We were blessed with the best sky ever. My shot:

Jesie’s:

hehe Wouldn’t be a country wedding without the appropriate footwear!

Love this idea of Jesie’s!  Her angle:

My angle:

Love Chris’ groom’s cake!  He’s in pharmacy school. :-)

Who needs a bouquet of flowers.  Kami loves her camera.  She was all over the dance floor getting shoots of her and guests.  Love that!

Kami’s gorgeous mom, Linda!  She’s the best.

Lifers:

Kami and Chris,

We really are lifers.  Jesie and I love you two from the bottom of our hearts.  Your wedding was so special to us.  We love love love you and can’t wait to start photographing little Janes babies!

Love you!

Country Wedding: Chris & Kami – Part II

16.06.10 weddings

Wahoo!  Happy Wednesday!  I know I’ve left many of you in high anticipation of part II of Chris and Kami’s wedding day.  This should be just enough to get you over this Hump Day.  Enjoy!

The scenery around eastern Colorado is gorgeous.  Kami and Chris were blessed with the most perfect day!

And this is Chris! He’s so handsome!

Per his request… a jumping photo. :-)

It’s go time!

Loved this moment when Chris fed Kami too much bread during communion! Kami said, “I tried to feed him just as much so we’d finish chewing at the same time.”  haha Oh the things you think about….

I was a bit of a ninja sneakin’ through back doors to get this one.

Loved this shot Jesie grabbed of Kami’s pregnant MOH.

Aww! I know!  Prayer time!

Jesie is pretty much the bomb – love this close up of the hand off!

Right after they said “i do” i followed them down stairs to soak up the “Oh my gosh, we did it!” moment.  Kami was so sweet…

She started crying and said, “It just happened so fast.”

Ahh!  More to come!  Part III you don’t want to miss those bride and groom photos!

Cañon City Engagement: Jenny & Josh

11.06.10 engagements

Happy Friday, friends!  Jes and I are out shooting Jenny and Josh’s wedding today, but we did want to hop on real quick and show you their recent high school themed engagement shoot from the other day.  These two met at Cañon City High School, in Sophomore Hall to be exact, and spent many, special moments at the beginning of their relationship just walking the halls of CCHS.  After four years of college in Missouri, these two are finally ready to tie the knot on this beautiful June day!

They are pretty much the sweetest, kindest couple you will ever meet.  They are so tender and soft with each other and come from families with hearts of gold.  I had the good fortune of growing up in Cañon City :-) and as a result have many, many memories with not only Jenny and Josh, but their families and everyone in their wedding party and on their guest list.  Should be an awesome day!  You know, every time I talk to Jenny or every e-mail I receive from her, in the most genuine tone, she says, “I’m really looking forward to seeing you! And please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.”  Love her.  This is the same girl who e-mailed me randomly one night, reflecting on 1st Corinthians 13:

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

“Lately, I find myself evaluating each of these. I take each description and make a visual representation in my head of what it is, or is not. I used to find this verse cliché, it’s always at weddings and everyone always refers to it. This year it has spoken loudly to Josh and me, and I find I love learning about each phrase, and will continue to do so, forever.

And yes, Josh’s heart is equally as sweet.  I love these guys… Enjoy.

“C” for their last name.

The exact spot where Josh first approached Jenny.

Jenny is so beautiful.  I have always thought she’s the perfect definition of a natural beauty.

Josh, you’re not too shabby yourself. :-)

Shizzam! Look at that look!  Work it, Josh.

Jenny is so good at making him giggle! It’s the best.

Love these…

Favorite!

The bench at the Riverwalk where Josh asked her to be his girlfriend.

Absolute favorite!!  This one is so perfect!

The light was just soooo good.

Jenny and Josh get the gold star because they always say, “Whatever you think, René. We trust you.  We want the good light.”  It is all about the good light, friends.  I love it when our brides and grooms recognize that and give us freedom in scheduling in order to get the “good” light. :-)
