Need Your Vote!

The Colorado Springs Independent is accepting votes now for their 16th Annual Best Of edition. It’s two enormous editions of our favorite paper that includes the BEST of everything in this little metropolis we call Colorado Springs. Low and behold, “photographer” is one of the categories! RTP hasn’t been quite big enough to compete in the last couple of years, but I think this year we really have a shot! A win like this could really put us on the map. That category is located in the last section, Making Noise. Scroll to the bottom, and “photographer” is in the right-hand column.
*** Voting must be COMPLETED by this MONDAY, AUGUST 31ST @ 5 P.M.
Click here to vote! And make sure you vote in at LEAST 10 CATEGORIES or else your vote wont count. :( If you don’t live in Springs, you can still vote! Here are a few recommendations in the Making Noise section:

The night before a recent wedding:
Jesie: What time do you want to leave tomorrow?
René: Well, (long pause) by the time you’re late and we get Starbucks we’ll be on the road by 9:00. 8:30?
Here’s to my best friend, confidant, second shooter, and wine-lover, Jesie, who is on her way home from her honeymoon as we speak.

Julie & Robert – Part II

After the bridge, we headed right into downtown San Fran and shot these fun images walkin’ around the incredible neighborhoods!
One of my favorites! He loves her.
Another favorite! Must be nice to have a garage like that. 
So many great colors! 
Due to all the hills and tall houses, we had a hard time catching this great light.. but we caught a glimpse of it and ran as fast as we could before it disappeared over the horizon. 
Julie’s my kind of girl.. When she saw this light she yelled, “I want that!” And took off running towards it. hehe 
Shot at ISO 2500, f8. Boo ya. This was a tough shot.. they were totally shadowed, the city and rainbow were totally illuminated, yet I need to get a clear background too so f1.8 wouldn’t cut it.
Julie and Robert…. *sigh* What can I say? You two are incredible. I’m a better person and woman for knowing you two. Thank you for such wonderful talks! Can’t wait to see you this weekend!
